Healthcare Simulation in the Post-Mannequin Era |

Immersive training simulations can help medical professionals learn the best tactics for complex situations.

In 2010, Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs used the words ?post-PC era? to describe the impact of new computing devices such as tablet computers.1 In this description, he was clear that personal computers (PCs) would remain with us for a long time to come. By ?post-PC era,? Jobs meant the era in which PCs are no longer the focal point of computing for most people.

In a manner similar to the early PC market, the healthcare industry has mainly focused on the interactions with a single technology: the mannequin. When healthcare professionals use the terms ?simulation? and ?simulation center? to describe how they train clinicians, what they typically mean is ?mannequin? and ?mannequin center.?

Good reasons exist for this. The focus of a clinician?s work is, by definition, interacting with patients, and the mannequin is the best technology currently available for the immersive simulation of patients, providing for both input (clinician actions) and output (patient responses) using a variety of mechanisms. Mannequin technology is well-understood, and studies across a variety of clinical task domains have validated the value of mannequin-based training.2, 3

Yet with this in mind, we believe that the focus on the mannequin for clinician training is retarding progress in the evolution of healthcare simulation technologies in general, impacting our ability to significantly improve patient safety and the overall quality of care.

We believe that the focus of healthcare simulation can, should, and must switch away from the mannequin and toward the software-based simulation of clinical systems, which integrates virtual patients, clinicians, devices, settings, and processes. Moving our focus away from hardware and toward software will enable more rapid progress in fidelity, functionality, and price-performance.

To illustrate our point, it is useful to examine the history of flight simulation, which serves as the leading example of how training via simulation can improve real-world performance in complex environments.

Four decades ago, creators of flight simulators began to shift their development approach in a way that would profoundly impact the future of aviation. Prior to this time, flight simulators had been based upon simple analog electronics. However, computer developments in the 1960s offered the opportunity to move the task of the simulation of flight from analog electronics to computer software, with the software controlling a physical simulator. This is not dissimilar from how mannequins have worked since the first modern computer-controlled mannequin, Sim One, was introduced in 1967.4, 5

Modern-day flight simulator: Healthcare simulation is several decades behind flight simulation in its evolution.

After switching to software-based technologies, the next generation of flight simulators used computer graphics to replace the mechanical and video-based systems heretofore used to display terrain to simulator-based pilots. Prior to this change, a typical high-end flight simulator would have included a ?model board,? a large physical model of terrain, over which a computer-controlled camera would ?fly,? providing images to the pilots.

While model boards provided a reasonable method of providing imagery given the technology of the time, they were ultimately limiting. Simulators could only ?fly? over terrain that had been physically modeled. The model boards took up substantial space and required effort to handle. A model board could only be used by one flight crew in one simulator at a time. The view through the camera was limited by the degrees of freedom provided by the camera control mechanism.

The change to computer-generated graphics removed these limitations and more. Any environment that could be imagined could be drawn algorithmically, from any viewpoint, in a variety of simulated conditions. Further, this development eliminated flight simulation?s last remaining dependency upon hardware for user interaction. Although flight simulators continued to make use of physically simulated cockpits and motion control systems, these were no longer essential. A flight simulator could be defined purely in terms of software and interacted with using mass-market input devices such as keyboards and mice. The result of this was that the rate of improvement in the fidelity of flight simulators was limited only by increases in computer processing power, which has grown exponentially since the invention of digital computing.6

Around this time, one other development took place that dramatically impacted the evolution of flight simulators. The introduction of personal computers in the late 1970s enabled anyone to develop or extend flight simulator technology. The first amateur flight simulator for a popular personal computer was released in 1980.7 While it was primitive, within a decade, its successors were capable enough to be certified for pilot training. By the 2000s, entrepreneurs and hobbyists had released tens of thousands of add-ons that extended the functionality of multiple flight simulators.

With this history in mind, we re-examine healthcare simulation.

In flight simulation terms, healthcare simulation is approximately at the model board level of the early 1970s. Mannequins are computer-controlled, but rely on expensive, proprietary hardware for user interaction. The focus of healthcare simulation development is on improving the interactivity and fidelity of mannequins themselves. This would be as if the only focus of flight simulation today were on making better cameras and more realistic-looking model boards.

We do not claim that mannequins are going away. As with PCs in the post-PC era, the post-mannequin era will be one in which mannequins play an important but not central role. In the post-mannequin era, the mannequin will be seen as one of many possible methods of enabling user interaction with rapidly improving simulations of clinical system-of-systems.8 As a result, we expect to see less investment in proprietary mannequins and associated hardware, and more investment in the research, development, and deployment of software simulations.9

Given current practices in the larger software development community and the certain involvement of academia, we expect that most useful and popular software simulations of clinical systems will be partly or fully open. This will move responsibility for the advancement of healthcare simulation away from a relatively small group of for-profit firms and toward the broadest possible community, including healthcare researchers and providers. Experience with prominent open software projects10 suggests that this will have a dramatic and positive effect on the pace of development and the quality of the results.

The next generation of healthcare simulation has the potential to revolutionize the practice of medicine, from improving the quality of care to reducing overall waste and errors. However, for this ?evolution to revolution? to occur, the industry needs to stop thinking in mannequin-centric terms and start thinking in terms of the holistic software simulation of clinical systems, with the mannequin as one piece of a much larger puzzle. To the extent that the healthcare industry adopts this attitude, it will enable dramatic advances in simulation for healthcare, and we will usher in a new era: the post-mannequin era.

Sennheiser's Momentum headphones bring their leathery, metal goodness to IFA, we go hands-on (video)

Now these are some seriously nice-looking headphones -- and really, that's sort of the thing here. After all, internally, these cans are quite similar to older models from Sennheiser, and spending a little time underneath them was a fully engrossing experience, the cups dampening out a lot of noise of the show floor even without music playing. What was even more immediately noticeable about the Momentum, however, was just how comfortable they were, thanks in no small part, to the use of hair-sheep skin straight out of Somerset, England -- yep, if you're anti-leather, these aren't the headphones for you. But man, the material feels really, really nice.

The headphones are also quite light, which helps, so they shouldn't be too much of a strain when you wear them on the go -- and the Sennheiser rep we spoke with assured us that your ears still breathe well with them on, unlike a lot of over-ear pairs. The headband is made of a brushed stainless steel, which meets even more leather on the top of the headphones. Move down the wire and you'll see a panel with three buttons -- these control volume and let you pick up calls on your iPhone. Further down still ia a metal jack that bends, so you can keep the headphones at either a 180- or 90-degree angle from your device.

Of course, all that fine sheep leather and metal doesn't come cheap -- these guys will run you a cool $350 when they hit the states this fall. Check out a hands-on video after the break.

2nd typhoon threatens battered Korean Peninsula

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) ? The Korean Peninsula cleaned up Wednesday after one powerful typhoon and girded itself for another that could be particularly damaging to North Korea, which is still recovering from earlier floods.

The first storm, Typhoon Bolaven, left at least 12 people dead in South Korea, including eight fishermen killed in wrecks off the southern coast. Damage in North Korea, which was hit late Tuesday and early Wednesday, wasn't completely clear, though state media reported that the storm knocked out power, submerged roads and houses, and ruined farm land.

Typhoon Tembin, meanwhile, was expected to reach South Korea on Thursday, with its outer bands hitting North Korea later in the day.

Tembin is expected to weaken as it reaches North Korea. Heavy rain, however, often means catastrophe in the North because of poor drainage, deforestation and decrepit infrastructure. The North's official Korean Central News Agency said some areas of Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces would receive up to 70 millimeters (2.8 inches) of rain on Thursday and Friday.

Weather officials had warned that Bolaven would be the strongest typhoon to hit the region in several years, but its gusts in other parts of Asia weren't as powerful as predicted.

KCNA reported that Bolaven tore off a power station's roof, cut power lines in Kaesong city and damaged more than 8,500 hectares (21,000 acres) of maize fields, hurting the chances of a successful harvest.

The typhoon tore roofs off several public buildings in South Hwanghae province and damaged TV relay facilities in North Hwanghae province, KCNA said.

Many houses and roads were submerged or destroyed and railroads were covered by landslides in South Phyongan, Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces, KCNA said.

Strong winds and rain lashed Pyongyang, the North's capital, Tuesday, but there was little apparent damage there.

Thousands of young people had been brought to Pyongyang to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the country's main youth political organization. The young delegates toured various places in Pyongyang on Tuesday, state media said, and leader Kim Jong Un visited a military unit on the country's eastern border with the South, despite torrential rain.

In South Korea, Bolaven temporarily left hundreds of thousands without power, canceled flights, left nearly 100 families homeless and damaged farm land. The storm also churned up rough seas that smashed two Chinese fishing ships into rocks off southern Jeju island, killing eight and leaving seven missing. Coast guard ships were still searching for the missing fishermen after an eighth dead body washed ashore Wednesday afternoon, coast guard spokesman Ko Chang-keon said.

The coast guard rescued 12 fishermen from the ships on Tuesday, and six others swam or were washed ashore.

The storm killed at least four other people across South Korea, officials said.

The storms come as North Korea tries to help people with food, shelter, health care and clean water after heavy flooding in July, according to a recent United Nations situation report. More than 170 died nationwide, and tens of thousands of homes were destroyed in the floods, according to official North Korean accounts.

Many flood victims still live in tents with limited access to water and other basic facilities, the U.N. report said, and there is worry about increased malnutrition in coming weeks.

Isaac becomes Cat 1 hurricane near Gulf Coast

CHAUVIN, La. (AP) ? Isaac became a hurricane Tuesday that could flood the coasts of four states with storm surge and heavy rains on its way to New Orleans, where residents hunkered down behind levees fortified after Katrina struck seven years ago this week.

Shelters opened for those who chose to stay or missed the chance to get away before the outer bands of the large storm blow ashore ahead of a forecast landfall in southeast Louisiana on Tuesday night or early Wednesday. However, with the exception of some low-lying areas, officials had not ordered mass evacuations.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Isaac became a Category 1 hurricane Tuesday with winds of 75 mph. It could get stronger by the time it's expected to reach the swampy coast of southeast Louisiana.

President Barack Obama said Gulf Coast residents should listen to local authorities and follow their directions as Isaac approached.

"Now is not the time to tempt fate. Now is not the time to dismiss official warnings. You need to take this seriously," Obama said.

In Houma, a city southwest of New Orleans, people filled a municipal auditorium-turned-shelter. However, in the bayou country of Terrebonne Parish off Highway 24, storms pose a perennial dilemma for those living a hardscrabble life.

While some of the homes along Bayou Terrebonne and other nearby waterways show signs of affluence, this section of Louisiana 24 is mostly lined with trailer homes or small, often run-down houses. Staying could be dangerous, but many here who could be in harm's way have nowhere to go and little money to get there, especially given the high price of gasoline.

Monica Boudreaux lives in a trailer on low-lying land but was talking Tuesday morning with a cousin who lived closer to the bayou. They and two friends chatted as the storm approached. Boudreaux laughed when asked what she'll do if the storm hits.

"I'm surrounded by all family," she said, referring to her friends as well as her cousin. "I'll just pick up my little fat feet and run, I guess."

The Coast Guard was searching the Gulf of Mexico near the Florida-Alabama state line Tuesday for a man who failed to return home from a water-scooter trip as Isaac was approaching the coast. The search began after the man's wife called the Pensacola, Fla., station about 8:45 p.m. Monday, Chief Petty Officer Bobby Nash says.

Forecasters warned that Isaac was a large storm whose effects could reach out 200 miles from its center. Water may be worse than wind because the storm could push walls of water while dumping rain to flood the low-lying coast in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

So far, the main damage in the United States was political: Republicans cut one day off their presidential nominating convention in Tampa in case the storm struck there, though in the end it bypassed the bayside city. Isaac is also testing elected officials along the Gulf from governors on down to show they're prepared for an emergency response.

Isaac's track is forecast to bring it to New Orleans seven years after Katrina hit as a much stronger storm on Aug. 29, 2005.

This time, federal officials say the updated levees around the city are equipped to handle storms stronger than Isaac. The Army Corps of Engineers was given about $14 billion to improve flood defenses, and most of the work has been completed. The levees surrounding New Orleans are designed to withstand far more than the forecast 12-foot surge. And the city's flood control system can pump out an inch of water per hour for the first hour, and a half-inch of water each hour after that.

But with landfall expected near the Katrina anniversary, anxiety was high, especially in the Lower 9th Ward, wiped out by Katrina after floodwalls burst and let the waters rush in.

"I don't really trust the levees," said Robert Washington, who planned to evacuate along with his wife and five children. "I don't want to take that chance. I saw how it looked after Katrina back here."

He leaned over the banister of his porch railing and looked out onto empty lots where houses stood before Katrina. His neighborhood, just a few blocks away from where the floodwall protecting the Lower 9th Ward broke open, remains largely empty.

Farther away on the Alabama coast, Isaac had begun pelting the shore with intermittent downpours Tuesday morning ? one moment it was dry, and the next brought rain blowing sideways in a strong breeze. Gov. Robert Bentley lifted mandatory evacuation orders for low-lying coastal areas but encouraged residents to remain vigilant nonetheless.

The boardwalk at the tourist town of Gulf Shores was virtually deserted except for John McCombs, who ventured out to see waves lapping at the seawall at the public beach.

Within moments he was drenched and running for cover as a band of rain hit the wooden walkway.

"That's it. It's here," he said, scurrying back across the street.

One question haunting locals is how much oil left over from the Gulf oil spill in 2010 might wind up on the beaches because of Isaac. Experts believe large tar mats lie submerged just off the coast, but no one knows where they are or how many might be in the Gulf.

Isaac was centered about 75 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River at midday and was moving northwest at 10 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. It was 160 miles southeast of New Orleans.

Although Isaac's approach on the eve of the Katrina anniversary invited comparisons, the storm is nowhere near as powerful as Katrina was when it struck. Katrina at one point reached Category 5 status with winds of more than 157 mph, and made landfall as a Category 3 storm.

Still, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center warned that Isaac, especially if it strikes at high tide, could cause storm surges of up to 12 feet along the coasts of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi and up to 6 feet as far away as the Florida Panhandle.

Rain from the storm could total up to 14 inches, with some isolated areas getting as much as 20 inches, along the coast from southeast Louisiana to the extreme western end of the Florida Panhandle.

On Tuesday morning, there were few signs on New Orleans' famed Canal Street that a hurricane was imminent. A group of apparently intoxicated tourists asked 30-year-old Adrian Thomas to snap their photo as he scanned the headlines of The Times-Picayune in a newspaper box.

Thomas said he was waiting for his father to wire him money so he could leave for his hometown of Greenville, Miss., which is along the Mississippi River more than 200 miles from the coast. However, he said he might not make it out in time ? and he was just fine with that.

"I believe it's going to be all right," he said. "If I have to stay here and ride it out, I'll ride it out."

In Mississippi, beachfront casinos were shutting down late Tuesday morning as a beach road flooded and residents hurried to shelters. Coastal residents Charlotte Timmons and Brenda Batey said they planned to stay put unless Isaac took a more menacing turn, believing it wouldn't cause the devastation of some past storms.

Since Katrina, people have a more cautious attitude toward tropical weather, perhaps so cautious that there's a danger of complacency setting in after near misses, Timmons said.

"It's like crying wolf," said Timmons, a 63-year-old retired media manager. "If they make such a big deal and start moving people out (too soon) and then it fizzles, people might not leave the next time."

For Republicans, it's all about Bain Capital - The Term Sheet ...

FORTUNE -- Bain isn't a dirty word for Republican Party delegates here in Tampa. It's the reason they're nominating Mitt Romney for president.

"The Bain stuff is far more compelling than being governor of Massachusetts," explains John McCutcheon, a Romney delegate from West Virginia. "It means that he knows how to set goals and then achieve them, how to be decisive and not equivocate. It's what we need in a leader."

Most delegates I spoke with today agreed with McCutcheon, while a minority argued that Romney's private and public-sector experience deserved equal weight. None said that their support was primarily based on Romney's political background, including certain members of the Massachusetts delegation.

Over and over I heard about how Romney will be able to help revive the economy because he understands how businesses really operate, while his November opponent has never had to meet a private payroll. I heard that Romney "built that business" on his own and that he'll understand when government needs to be involved and when it needs to get out of the way.

On that last point, no delegates had difficulties reconciling Romney's pledge to reduce government with private equity's hands-on reputation. "He understands how free markets function," explained Ellen Sauerbrey, twice a GOP gubernatorial candidate in Maryland.

As for what Romney actually did at Bain Capital, every delegate told me the exact same thing: He took failing businesses and tried to turn them around.

No mention of companies that Romney helped start at Bain, such as Staples (SPLS). No mention of the strong companies that Bain invested in, for the purpose of making them incrementally stronger. No mention of the failed companies, save for a few "you win some, you lose some" bromides. Certainly no talk about how Bain managed to profit off of companies that it was unable to "save," or that Bain itself may have contributed to their failures.

Many delegates also said that Romney and his surrogates should go out of its way to further highlight the candidate's Bain Capital experience, rather than what they saw as a tendency to downplay it.??Stephen Lambeth of Georgia even suggested that Romney's campaign publish a list of deals he did while with Bain, and how many jobs were created at each one (for the record, Bain doesn't keep such jobs data].

In fact, the only negative comment related to Bain came from Beatrice Kehr, president of the Minnesota Federation of Republican Women. The future of American business wasn't Kehr's primary concern -- that would be guns -- but she did express some worry about how Romney had "a lot of international experience and connections" related to Bain portfolio companies. "I think he needs to explain that more," she added.

Pest Control Oregon - Termite Extermination Tips

If you've ever had termites, you know how destructive they can be. If you've just discovered termites in or around your home, you're about to find out how bad they can be -- unless you take steps to exterminate them quickly and effectively. Termites normally live in the ground, but they can enter your home through a crack that's less than 1/16" wide. Once they do, they'll start munching their way through the wood, drywall and insulation in your house at an alarming rate. Professional termite extermination is effective but costly. Here are a few termite extermination tips to try on your own:

1. Inspect your home to determine the extent of the problem. This can help you decide which specific termite extermination method would be best. Mud tunnels inside your house clearly indicate you have a termite infestation.

2. Choose your method. The choices boil down to using a liquid pesticide or termite bait. Both methods have their pros and cons. Liquid pesticides are sprayed onto the ground around the perimeter of your home. The barrier they create prevents termites that are already in your home from returning to their underground nests. It also prevents termites in the nests from reaching your home. Liquid pesticides can be extremely effective, but they're also very toxic to plants, pets and people (especially children). Termite baits may not be quite as effective but using them is much safer.

3. Be careful if you choose a liquid pesticide. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when you're applying liquid pesticide. Most require you to dig a trench around the home's entire perimeter and then spray the pesticide into the trench. Once applied, the pesticide forms a barrier that kills (or at least repels) the termites.

4. Termite bait is safer and easier to use than liquid pesticides, making it a good choice for do-it-yourselfers. Bait consists of pesticide that has been blended into food that attracts termites. The result is a toxic substance that kills them when consumed. Use termite bait by inserting it into any mud tunnels or termite paths you see. The termites will find and eat the bait eventually, although it might take a couple of weeks to work. You might need to put down new bait if you still see signs of termites after that.

5. If you follow these termite extermination tips but termites are still in your home, consider contacting a professional exterminator for help.

Florida prepares for Isaac ahead of GOP convention

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) ? Floridians, tourists and thousands of visitors for the Republican National Convention were warned Saturday to prepare for Tropical Storm Isaac, which is expected to strengthen to a hurricane by the time it reaches the Florida Keys.

While there were few signs of the approaching storm in Tampa, convention officials called off most events until the storm passes. They planned to convene briefly as planned on Monday, then postpone most of the schedule until Tuesday afternoon.

Streets were already shut down around the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is expected to accept his party's presidential nomination Thursday night. Law enforcement milled about downtown, and some protests already were under way. One group protesting homelessness and the housing crisis "took over" a foreclosed home by cleaning the yard and planned to help a homeless couple move in.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican, declared a state of emergency and canceled his plans to attend convention events on Sunday and Monday.

A hurricane warning had been issued for the Florida Keys, and officials warned tourists to leave. Forecast models show Isaac likely won't hit Tampa head-on, but it could lash the city with rain and strong winds just as the convention ramps up. A tropical storm warning was extended up Florida's Gulf coast north of Tampa Bay.

"I told some of my Democratic friends, 'We are the storm, baby, we are the thunder,'" said Steve Linder, whose business is planning all events for the Michigan delegation. Linder added, smiling, "and it ain't gonna stop until November."

Dianne Joachim of New Richmond, Wis., was in town for her first convention and vowed not to let Isaac ruin it.

"I just figure God's got this," she said as she arrived at her downtown hotel.

Scott said during a media briefing that delegates were being told how to stay safe during a storm, and officials were ready for storm surge, bridge closures and other problems that could arise during the convention. He also said he was in close communication with local, state and federal agencies, as well as convention officials.

"We are a hospitality state. We know how to take care of people and we want to ensure their safety," the governor said.

Isaac was blamed for at least three deaths after dousing flood-prone Haiti and was expected to scrape eastern Cuba on Saturday. It was forecast to hit the Keys late Sunday or early Monday, and it then could bring stormy conditions to Florida's west coast before moving to the Panhandle.

Isaac was expected to pass over the Keys as a hurricane late Sunday or early Monday. A steady stream of cars moved north along the Overseas Highway on Saturday, but officials said there were no major problems as some evacuated. At spots of higher ground along the highway, the only road connecting the Keys, dozens of people parked their cars to escape flooding.

At The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, workers were moving recovering turtles from outdoor tanks inside, and hospital founder Richie Moretti said warnings were being taken seriously. He noted Hurricane Wilma in 2005 was initially expected to hit as a Category 1 storm, too.

"It took out the motel, the hospital, the docks, and all the boats. So, I don't take anything for granted. If there's a storm coming, I don't care what number they give it. We're going to batten down and be ready," he said.

Volunteers carried in supplies at shelters throughout the Keys. On Duval Street, the famed tourist strip in Key West, many shops were boarded up. Bands of light rain moved through and passersby crowded under umbrellas and wore ponchos and slickers.

"The weather sucks, but on Tuesday it'll be nice," said an optimistic Kelly Calhoun, a 30-year-old speech therapist at the start of a weeklong vacation to Key West with family. "We got all the essentials: booze and food."

Yet the storm was days away from the Florida Panhandle. It was sunny and breezy on the beach Saturday in Pensacola, with people out strolling and playing in the sand. Condo associations told people to move furniture inside, but full-scale preparations hadn't yet begun. Waves weren't yet big enough for surfers.

When the storm hits, strong winds will be "enough to knock you over" and produce severe thunderstorms, National Hurricane Center spokesman Dennis Feltgen said.

Storm surge and tornadoes also are possible when Isaac hits, and winds could topple power lines and lead to lengthy power outages, Feltgen said. The Panhandle already has had a wet summer, so potential flooding was especially possible there.

In 2006 September, Intel company to China the largest software outsourcing company Neusoft invested 40000000 dollars . 2005 ,iSoftStone acquired from wing Granville investment ,Eitomi Yasuke venture Endowment ,and then in 2007 obtained from wing Granville investment ,fund ,Eitomi Yasuke and Mitsui ventures totaled $45000000 in the second round of financing for software outsourcing industry by venture capital ,IDC China software and services research analyst Yu Qian thinks :venture capital investment very keen sense of smell ,they on China offshore software outsourcing enterprises in this industry wide development prospects.
Venture capital enter, not only to solve the financing bottleneck problem ,can also use their own advantages to promote outsourcing enterprises listed in acquired Sequoia ,Lenovo and other risk investment based on 12 December ,2007 Japanese thinking information technology company limited the success of American stock market the motherboard mm listed on the New York stock exchange ,has since become the Chinese software outsourcing industry is the first in the United States listed enterprises .
Prior to this ,there are many outsource companies listed on the .2004 international in Hongkong GEM listed .2007 year in May 10th ,Sinocom software group Limited by Share Ltd successfully landed in Hongkong main board .

But it is still listed in the industry caused great repercussions .Since China outsourcing enterprises first landed in America NYSE ,is also China outsourcing enterprises listed in the United States as the first single .
On the listing problem, VanceInfo President Chen Lifeng introduces to the reporter :in &quot ;the United States listed ,mainly taking into account the American investors to new economy investment ability and analysis ability some .
&quot ;at the same time ,can let the United States listed more customers to recognize China company.&quot ;we listed after the fact, to whole industry also played a role .It proves that &quot ;debuts at 9.
96 dollars ,than the issue price of $8.5, up $1.46 ,or 17.18%. but good times don ,because the United States sub-loan crisis and economic recession, the stock has declined ,and the last 3 months, stock prices rose sharply ,P / E ratio reached more than 30 times ,www.louboutindefrances.com,the highest price of $13.
98 ,www.christianlouboutinoutletinusa.com,significantly outperformed the Dow and Nasdaq index at the same time ,also exceeded many listed in the United States of India giant performance . In this regard ,VanceInfo President Chen Lifeng to think ,Listed at the beginning, investors in the company also do not understand ,thought it as outsourcing enterprises ,by the American economic downturn impact, stock price fluctuation can hardly be avoided .
But in fact it is the source of most of the business of foreign companies in China ,these operations with the Foreign Company in China ,by the United States sub-loan crisis is very small ;and ,China the outsourcing industry there is a big space ,development situation is generally good .
For it ,the past two quarter report is very good ,not only to the acceptance of Wall Street ,and beyond the expectations of investors ,proved that the company capacity ,thus obtained the confidence of investors ,the shares rose sharply .
However ,in the enterprise the development and brand in the process of creating the many challenges still exist in.2008, for the outsourcing of enterprises is very challenging year .International big environment is the United States market continued to decline ,the dollar depreciates ceaselessly, relatively increasing appreciation of the renminbi.
These mainly cheap labour to attract the employer of the service outsourcing industry is a a severe test. Although the service outsourcing business growth rate is very high ,but the profit level is relatively low ,this is because Most of China outsourcing enterprises mainly engaged in coding ,testing ,data entry and other low-end ,low value-added work .
At the same time, because the software outsourcing service the main settlement currency is dollars ,but the enterprise cost is mainly in Renminbi .The depreciation of the dollar ,Renminbi appreciation led directly to the software outsourcing service profit margin.
For these situation ,big software outsourcing companies and analysts hold an optimistic view IDC Chinese senior analyst Yu Qian to Chinese outsourcing industry foreground view is :&quot ;generally speaking ,despite the recession of American economy ,we should keep an optimistic estimate of.
&quot ;Beyondsoft President Wang Bin to express ,the appreciation of the renminbi is an irreversible trend in the short-term .There are some effects in the long term ,the outsourcing industry is a warning .
This will require the enterprises to enhance their competitiveness ,into the army high interest rates ,high value-added high-end market. For the depreciation of the dollar ,RMB appreciation of the current economic situation, the wave of the group of software outsourcing business general manager Eric Kong Lee is introduced: the tide is currently by expanding the scope of business ,improve value-added ,strengthen business ability ,and strengthen the overseas team building etc.
To avoid losses. And evens President Chen Lifeng expresses ,company business is mostly settled in Renminbi ,which forms a natural hedge ,so little effect of devaluation of US dollar on it .
Although the United States in order to save the increasingly sluggish domestic market and rising unemployment ,introduced restrictions on outsourcing motion ,the short term may have some effect ,but ,louboutin,in the long term, the United States this practice is prove futile .
IDC senior analyst Yu Qian of the view is :o utsourcing is the globalization of resource distribution results ,this trend is irreversible ,the government behavior to conform to the trend of economic development .
The United States economy on China effects can be said to be .It may be one divides into two. On the lower end of the outsourcing business caused great impact, require enterprises to improve the competitiveness ,the development of high-end business ;but on the other hand ,louboutin shoes, for saving cost requirements ,there will be more business outsourcing, the Chinese enterprise is a chance.
The whole American recession on China economy is to promote outsourcing industry integration is a process we can see ,the service outsourcing industry development is no longer simple cheap labor to undertake single outsourcing service Service industry ,with the development of the industry ,outsourcing has been deep into the employer ,a higher gold content .
Therefore ,www.flouboutinpascherfrance.com,quality requirements to the far greater than the price ,the competition of the enterprise is how to provide more quality services ,delivered to the customer a beyond his expectation of services or products .
Enterprises with their own efforts and strength to establish a corporate brand .China outsourcing enterprises need to continue practicing internal strength of &quot ;&quot ;,increase the competitive ability of the enterprise .
The support of government outsourcing branding for service outsourcing industry ,the Chinese government has given strong support. In China eleven &quot ;five &quot ;economic development strategy, louboutin pas cher, the development of service outsourcing is one of the most important contents in.
2006 year ten National People passed by the four session of national economy and social development Eleventh Five Year Plan in point out clearly, want &quot to speed up the transformation of foreign trade growth mode ;&quot ;&quot ;construction of a number of service outsourcing base ,and ordered to undertake the transfer of international service industry &quot ;then in 2007 issued by the NPC and CPPCC government work report once again stressed the need to &quot ;vigorously developing international service outsourcing in China ,improve the development level of service industry &quot state ;.
Institute according to the spirit and instructions ,in 2007 the State Council promulgated on accelerating the development of service industry . some opinions of the relevant state ministries and commissions have made a series of development policy and planning ,one of the more important a Ministry of Commerce on the implementation of service outsourcing Qianbaishi engineering &quot ;&quot ;notice ,service outsourcing Qianbaishi &quot ;project objectives are: &quot ;&quot five ;&quot eleven ;during construction ,in the whole nation 10 must have the international competitiveness of the service outsourcing base city ,promote the 100 world famous Multi-National Corporation in the service outsourcing business is transferred to China ,breed 1000 achieved international qualification is large and medium-sized the service outsourcing enterprises, create favorable conditions ,the whole azimuth ( Offshore ) undertaking international service outsourcing business, and continuously improve service value ,achieve the 2010 service outsourcing exports in 2005 based on the quadruple .
,chairman and chief executive officer Liu Tianwen think ,&quot ;L R Qianbaishi project implementation ,on China has the very big promotion. There is a slogan is based on L Qianbaishi engineering to create R outsourcing enterprise.
&quot ;government in speeding up the service outsourcing base construction ,strengthen the service outsourcing industry development policy support ,plus On service outsourcing talent training ,improve the service outsourcing support services platform ,have done a lot of work ,from taxes ,subsidies ,personnel training ,infrastructure construction and other aspects of support ,to establish a set of relatively complete service outsourcing industry policy support system.
China outsourcing industry is still in the initial stage of development ,government policy support is still needs further improvement. In this respect ,we can draw lessons from the experience of India .
In India outsourcing industry development history ,was able to become world &quot ,&quot ;office ;and the India government vigorously support the outsourcing industry is inseparable. In addition to the outsourcing industry tax policy ,give aid to energetically ,in on the international market, the government of India and even personally for national service outsourcing for publicity .
The service outsourcing as a strategic industry to develop ,through the national platform ,on the India outer bag brand are thick and heavy in colours &quot ;&quot ;packaging. In summary India development experience ,the wave of the group general manager of Eric software outsourcing business Kong Lee said :the government of India has a very clear software outsourcing industry development target and program, very early in the service outsourcing trade goods of foreign trade promoted to the height ,and the And to concentrate their efforts to the international market .

Most people are not aware that there is a diet plan in existence which can extend their lives exponentially simply through whole foods and natural products. It is known as the Mediterranean diet, and if you have never heard about it before this is the world?s premier diet for decreasing cholesterol and the risk of cardiovascular diseases as well as cancer and others illnesses that most commonly cause deaths around the world.

The Mediterranean diet is called such because of the eponymous sea located in the heart of Europe between the European and African sections. Any countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea have what is known as a Mediterranean diet plan, and regardless if you are talking about countries in Northern Africa or along the eastern edge or along the northern section of the sea such as Italy or Greece, these are all countries which follow the Mediterranean diet.

The Mediterranean Diet involves the consumption of mostly vegetables, beans, fruits, and grains. It also involves the consumption of meat, but only fish or white meat and only a few times per week, plus a lot of olive oil. They also consume whole foods and natural dairy products like Yogurt. Yogurt has cultures that are also part of the health and wellness of the individuals of the Mediterranean region. Another is garlic. Garlic is well known for preventing blood clots, cholesterol-reducing levels, and provides protection against most cancers.

And while doctors in the United States would have you believe that any type of alcohol consumption is bad for you because of the carbs or the sugars, the reality is that wine is rich in antioxidants and other healthy elements. Part of the Mediterranean diet is regular consumption of wine; two glasses per night per min and one glass per evening for women. Wine is a vital element to avoiding the Western diets that have caused Americans to have a 72% obesity rate.

If you have ever done any studies on cancer you know that cancer cells thrive in acidic environments, and the typical American diet causes a high level of acidity due to the large amounts of saturated fat. This is why the Mediterranean diet is so superior because there is virtually no saturated fat in the diet plan, but only natural fats related to whole grains, fruits, nuts, beans, olive oil and natural dairy products along with fish. If you are looking to reach old age while still in your prime, you have to think about what you are putting into your body.

If it?s your first time researching The Mediterranean Diet, take your time. There are many secrets behind the power of this unique diet plan, not the least of which is the secret weapon of The Mediterranean Diet: your body.

The benefits of meditation are being touted everywhere, from psychological journals to health and fitness magazines to holistic websites and even in mainstream media.?

It?s one thing to understand and agree with the positive benefits of a meditation practice, but another thing to incorporate it into your busy life. It?s kind of like understanding that certain foods are bad for you, but still continuing to eat them until someone gives you an easy and tasty substitute.?

Time and again, I hear people complain about their monkey mind and how they just can?t stop their thoughts. As if their thoughts were in control of them. I have found that it is easier if you can think of the mind as a muscle. Look to the recent Olympic games as an example. The first time Michael Phelps jumped into the pool, he could not break records with his swimming. It took practice, and the focus on a goal. While we won?t win any gold medals from meditating, we will gain a peace of mind that makes our day-to-day life much easier and healthier.?

So how do we begin training the mind to be quiet, to build the muscle of focus and concentration?
